Go Away Green
2021-2023, digital photography taken in Ithaca, NY.
This ongoing project responds to the consumption of Earth and the destruction of green space in the name of development and ”improvement”. These photographs were taken just outside the front door of my home, and outside undergraduate housing at Cornell. The sounds that accompany these views are a constant murmur and at other times an overwhelming stimulus. The lack of green space has been described as suffocating. The project questions the ways in which institutions like Cornell address mental health and well-being on its campus.
