Carabiner for your House Keys

May 2022, photographs printed on acetate and projected using an overhead projector.

This project features a series of photographs taken in my cooperative living home that I share with 18 other people. The work considers chosen family, safe spaces, and identity. The photographs capture spaces that actively center BIPOC and queer lives, and seeks to positively reframe them in response to the contemporary censorship occurring in classrooms across conservative states in America.
